On November 8<\/a>, René Pape is a featured soloist at a Gala Concert, marking the 50th Anniversary of the Antonín Dvo\u0159ák International Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary. He is joined by several laureates of the competition, including Adam Plachetka, Roman Janál, Kate\u0159ina Kn\u011b\u017eíková, Joo-Anne Bitter, and Nicholas Davis. Mr. Pape sings the arias “Ella giammai m’amo” from Verdi’s Don Carlo<\/em> and “Le veau d’or” from Gounod’s Faust<\/em>, with conductor Libor Pešek leading The National Theatre Orchestra. The concert will also receive a live broadcast via Czech Television. Tickets are available at the following link<\/a>; please know there is limited inventory for this special event. <\/p>\n Pape joins a spectacular roster of colleagues and the Munich Philharmonic for a concert performance of Act 1 of Wagner’s Die Walküre<\/em> on November 13<\/a>, at the Philharmonie im Gasteig. Valery Gergiev leads the performance, which also features soprano Anja Kampe and tenor Johan Botha. He then joins the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and conductor Charles Dutoit in performance at the Grosser Saal, featuring Rossini’s Stabat Mater.
