Sarastro at the Metropolitan Opera

René Pape flies into New York City to sing Sarastro, one of his signature roles, in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, for one performance only on October 14. The rest of the cast is comprised by Golda Schultz as Pamina, Kathryn Lewek as Queen of the Night, Charles Castronovo as Tamino and Markus Werba as Papageno. Maestro James Levine is in the orchestra pit.

This performance will be broadcast in HD in select movie theaters.
