Metropolitan Opera ‘Macbeth’ available soon on DVD

René Pape’s 2014 Metropolitan Opera performance as Banquo in Verdi’s Macbeth can be seen on DVD and Blu-ray formats beginning October 30, and is now available for pre-order via Amazon. The production features a thrilling cast, including Željko Lučić in the title role and Anna Netrebko as Lady Macbeth, with Fabio Luisi leading the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus. Mr. Pape’s portrayal of the ill-fated general garnered spectacular acclaim from critics:
